Attic Fan
Anyone have anyone to install?

We bought ours at home depot, it's solar powered. DH installed it himself.

We have been calling roofers to ask venting our attic. Sorry for the dumb question, but what exactly does an attic fan do? Is it always running??

Takes the heat out of the attic , and in turn will keep a home cooler.

Totally, my dad installed ours. He set it up where when it reaches 80 deg it goes on. Don't get me wrong it's still warmer then the first floor but not as hot as before.

Totally, my dad installed ours. He set it up where when it reaches 80 deg it goes on. Don't get me wrong it's still warmer then the first floor but not as hot as before.
It's awesome. The day after we purchased our house we had a brand new roof put on. We ripped off the 3 layer roof that was there so we put a one layer roof on. While we were opened my dad suggested it and went and picked one up for us and him and our roofers installed it. He's an HVAC contractor.
It's a great thing to have.

DH just bought one ($380 but got it on sale $210) and installed himself. Well really replaced the broken one that was there with this one.
