Shopping with DC & DH

When I'm alone and shopping with DD, she is always put in the shopping cart. If DH is with me I sometimes let her run wild in the store (shes 1). Of course its supervised. Im right behind her. She just isnt confined

Just wondering if Im the minority?

Shopping with DC & DH

If she's with only me, yes, she's always in the cart.

If there are 2 of us, I still never let her run willd. She knows she either holds my hand or walks next to me--or she loses her privilege and goes into the cart.

Shopping with DC & DH

She always sits in the cart. The one time my DH wanted to let her walk around was at Home Depot and I said it wasnt a good idea.... And of course after like 2 mins, she had to go in the cart cause it was getting too crazy. I also dont want her whining to walk around when its just me and her cause she has no problem sitting in the carts.

I don't really want my dd to think running around is even an option. I'm afraid she will always want to do that. She is content riding in the cart and I am going to try to keep her that way as long as I can.

Same. Most of the time DS ends up in a cart!

My kids were always in the cart no matter if it was just me or my dh. It is just too dangerous to let kids run around a store where they can pull on things and have them break on them. It only takes a split second.

My DS is always in the cart no matter how many people are there. He's just too fast and too curious to do it any other way.

This. He turned terrible 2's today and now fights going in the cart. Today was the first time. Once that boy gets freedom he's outta here. Lol

My dd is 18 months. If it is just us, she goes in the cart. When dh is there I push the cart around and he entertains dd in her stroller and pushes her around the store.

It works out because he can do a little shopping too and just put the stuff in the stroller basket until we meet up.

My kids would be grabbing everything off the shelves. My eldest son is the type of kid that feels the fabric in clothing stores as we walk through.
