We also got it for their first bday. He was pushed in it the and now at almost 3 he uses it very independently.

Cozy coupe cars
I got one for my daughter at 9 months, she started walking at 11 months. She loved it and we just pushed her around. It comes with a bottom piece that covers the opening so they're feet arent just hanging. She was basically just sitting in the car and we pushed. Now at almost 2 she can use it by herself.
