Re: STTN question

For me, I consider it STTN when they drop the middle of the night bottle completely. If I'm going to bed at a normal time and waking up in the morning like I normally would without ever having to get up to feed them, they are STTN. (IMO) :o)

With my DD - she STTN at 12 wks old (10pm'ish to 8-9'ish)

With my DS - he STTN at 8 weeks old (8pm to 6:30-7am)

Wow lucky you!!! I also felt like STTN meant I didn't have to get woken up in the middle of the night. Took me 20 months for both of my girls.

I think the medical definition is 6 hours, but for me, having them sleep from 8-2 didn't make me do any cheers.

Technically, sttn is 5 uninterrupted hours (12am-5am), but I considered it STTN when DS slept 10-5 since then I could also get a full night's sleep.

Re: STTN question

I consider it 10 hours straight. meaning, I put you to bed at 8pm and I don't hear from you until after 6. Anything other than that means I have to get up in the middle of the night and it's just annoying! I consider them to be STTN when I am sleeping thru the night. I find it so annoying when people say "Oh my 3 week old is sleeping thru the night and really they mean they put them to bed at 10 and they are up at 3am, 5am and again at 7am. IF my kid is doing that it means I am up all night so I wouldn't think that my kid is sleeping thru the night. Sorry just my opinion!

STTN question

When she stopped the middle of the night feedings. At 3-4 weeks she already dropped her midnight feeding. By 5 weeks she dropped the 4 am feeding. She then started giving us 9-10 hours a night.
