CSection Scheduled
Csection is scheduled for September 30th! Kind of sucks since my due date is October 1st; so it's 39w6d . I don't think I will make it to that date due to my history but that's the day my OB is available.

 I know how you feel. I'm scheduled for 39w6d also. It was the only day that was available. I didn't want to schedule on 9/10 (DH bday), 9/11, my OB doesn't schedule csections on Thursdays (9/12), not walking into an OR on Friday the 13th. That left Monday 9/16. I went into labor 11 days early with DD so who knows if I'll make it to the scheduled date.

Possibly and being my OB has a partner I never met (spoke to once on the phone)as well as 3 covering doctors from another practice I have a feeling due to history of preterm deliveries I may not make it to 39weeks6 days. I would have been more comfortable with 39 weeks 0 days but at damn near 40 weeks.

No I don't want to hit my due date I was just hoping it would be earlier in that week like exactly 39 weeks. My DH doesn't think I will make it to that day. When I asked him about requesting that day off plus 2 week after his response was "it doesn't make sense to put it in since you will go before".

Given your hx, they didn't want to take you earlier? Is this your first full term pg? It just seems so early to schedule your c-section, but they are probably scheduling you just to reserve your date for themselves. As it gets closer to the end, they will monitor you closely an who knows...you may be scheduled sooner than later.
As for me, I know for a fact that I will be taken in early as early as 2 weeks, but I haven't been given a date. But, with any pg, I could go into labor even before then.

Usually most scheduled csections are at 39 weeks(the earlier part of the the 39th week). I worked in L&D for years so I've seen it, I am disappointed that its at the latter part of the week 39/6 instead. My OB even said she doesn't think I will make it to that date but that's the only day she is available that week(39th week) so I'm a little bummed.

My office usually does it sometime in the 38th week, 7-10 days before due date. Can you ask your dr if that is an option?
My due date is estimated to be aug 3, and aug 6 by u/s (they've been using both dates lol) I'm scheduled for jul 30 which was the absolute attest they would let me schedule for...

I've heard that some hospitals won't csection you (scheduled) before your 39th week. At my last appointment my doctors went to schedule mine and I will be 17w this week. I guess every office is different.
you may not even make it to that day and in that case the dr has to do what your body says
