Washing Baby Clothes

Here is my normal 2am posting....INSOMNIAChat Icon I decided to finally start moving Chat Icon stuff out of my closet to the nursery. My question is after washing her clothes should I put it in the dryer or hang dry? A few of the Carters outfits looks really tiny(before washing) my fear is they will shrink.

I think I will hang dry. Thoughts?

Doesn't hurt to hang dry.

Re: Washing Baby Clothes

Throw everything in the dryer. It's all made a little bigger to accommodate shrinking. Babies/kids generate so much laundry. There's no time or space to line dry everything. I've never run into any problems with my DDs laundry.

I wash everything on low unless it says to air dry. Read all labels carefully, a lot of things that are waterproof cannot be dried.

I washed in batches and I have the time to do so , so I line dried everything.

I just started washing some of DD's old clothes to get ready for this baby and dryed everything (just didn't put it on high - i did delicates on warm). I did that when I was washing/drying DD's original stuff too.

What detergent do you all use? Did you buy a special detergent?

Dryer on the lowest heat. I used all fee and clear (which I use on our laundry too) and then white vinegar to soften and dryer balls

Washing Baby Clothes

I use dreft laundry detergent for babies. I also used the dryer. I remember not having enough time to hang dry everything. They grow so fast at this age you don't need to worry about shrinkage as much as when they get older. Good luck!!
