Hershey where to Stay?
We want to do a mini vacay. to Hershey in late Aug. we don't want to spend big $$ so the lodge/suites are out (and it looks like they are full anyway). Any recon on other places to stay close by?

Hershey where to Stay?
We've stayed at the Days Inn and were happy with it.

Anything very close to Hershey will be more money and IMHO not worth it. We just booked Comfort Suites just outside Hershey and got a great rate on their site.

Re: Hershey where to Stay?
We stayed at the Suites at Hershey last year, and are staying there again in August. I've found fabulous rates on ebay (some are high though, you just have to keep checking). It's a timeshare, so people often rent out their weeks on ebay or on Redweek.com. I paid $400 for 5 nights (we'll go to Dutch Wonderland also), and I'm splitting that with another family since it's 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The place is amazing. You can see the coasters from your window. Worth looking into!

We have also stayed at the Marriott Towne Place Suites, and that is nice. Free breakfast, full kitchens, and nice and modern. About a 10 minute drive to the park.
The Holiday Inn Harrisburg East has a nice playground and outdoor pool, and is inexpensive also.

Re: Hershey where to Stay?
check out the Hershey campground...the deluxe cabins are SO nice! We had so much fun there...and you get the free shuttle to the park and LOTS of activities on site too. We lucked out and they had a cancellation for the weekend we wanted, so they might have openings!

We stayed at the country inn & suites in Harrisburg. Not far at all & it was a cute, cozy, clean little place.

We are wait listed at the Campground. It sounds like so much fun. I would tent camp so would DS but DH is not going for it. I'll check out the other recommendations. Thanks all

We stayed outsdie Hershey in Willow Valley. I thought it was nice there, clean too. They have an indoor and outdoor pool.

We stayed with our kids at the "White Rose Motel" which was clean, comfortable and just 5 minutes from the park. We normally avoid motels, but this one had great reviews on Tripadvisor so we gave it a try. We just needed somewhere to sleep -- our whole days were at the park.

Thanks, this place looks cute. DS is dying to stay in a motel. We may give it a try.
