did anyone have implantation bleeding? may be tmi
Hi all. Sorry to crash. My cousin just called me and said she isn't sure if she's pregnant. Her baby is just a little older than my ds so around 6 months old. She is exclusively breastfeeding and hasn't had a cycle yet. She and her dh have been careful (so she says) but she spotted very faint pink for 2-3 hours yesterday then it stopped. She called me that it just started again and it is only there when she wipes. she took a test last night and it was negative. I never had implantation bleeding so I have no idea but for those of you who did, does this sound like it? would it come and go?

Could be, but it also could be spotting of a different variety- your AF can be very light when you are BF.

i had implantation bleeding and it wasnt like spotting at all. it was only when i wiped and it was just once. to me it sounds more like her period starting while breast feeding - you may not get a heavy flow while bf.
if shes concerned wait 3-5 days and then take a pregnancy test - if it was an egg implanting it will take a few days for the hormones to show up in urine. i had implantation bleeding on a Monday and got my positive HPT that thursday

thanks. I tolf her to test this weekend or on Monday. It is only when she wipes. But for a small window each day. Her only symptoms are bloating and a headache which she had when she was pregnant but also when she has af.

I had spots when i wiped for a couple days. So it sounds like it to me. But she wont know for sure for a few days, usually 3-4 days later you can see a pos.
When I was BF and got AF it came as a normal AF, not sure if usually it starts off slow.

If she had implantation bleeding and she took a test it would be positive. The implantation bleeding is evidence that the hormone is high enough to give you a positive pregnancy test.
My implantation bleeding with DS was like AF started -- but light. The reason I tested at that time was because I was temping and my temp was still high. With this pregnancy, it looked exactly like AF and lasted the same length of time. So deceiving that I actually thought I was only 8 weeks pregnant when I was in fact, 12 weeks.

I had the same thing. I wiped, it was there just a little, I thought - oh I'm probably getting AF and then it went away and never came back.
This was the day before Christmas Eve - then, we had Christmas and after New Year's we went away. I was due to get AF on our trip. AF never came. After we landed back home I took a test which came out positive.
