Cleaning Lady

I know that this has been asked a ton! I am just curious, do cleaning lady's do laundry as well? I hate cleaning, l know most people do as well, but I get overwhelmed and just give up. My poor husband has been the main cleaner and since the mouse incident, I really don't want to touch anything in my house. I am trying to convince him it would be a good thing to do, especially with a new baby on the way. I found a few to contact, just wondering about laundry, if that's something that comes with whoever you use.

Thanks!

They will but I really don't think they would have enough time to do more than one load if they are cleaning your house. I have a private woman come but I did get a quote from Molly Maids (only $28 more than my woman and they bring supplies) it was an add on.

Re: Cleaning Lady

if you get a private woman to do it, they can do laundry. Depending on how long they are there and how efficient they are they may be able to get 2 loads in.

Re: Cleaning Lady

my grandmother was a cleaning lady for years. She did do laundry. Just ask the person whenever you interview them for the job.

Re: Cleaning Lady

My mom worked in the city when we were growing up and my stepdad was a contractor who worked 6-7 days a week so they never had time for cleaning or laundry. Most of their cleaning ladies did laundry BUT they went through so many of them because they always ruined the wash. The one lady used bleach on every thing she washed and even though they told her no bleach, it happened again so they didn't even keep bleach in the house and somehow everything was bleached so she was gone. They also had issues with other cleaning ladies mixing colors so they would run, putting stuff in the dryer that doesn't belong there, and so on. It got to the point where my mom wouldn't put anything that she didn't want ruined in the wash but since she dressed up all the time for work, whatever didn't go to the dry cleaners was basically nice work stuff so she just did her own wash and the cleaning ladies did everyone else's. None of them put the clothes away, they all folded them and put them on the beds of the person they belonged to. Which is fine, who wants someone going through your drawers lol. They would normally be there the entire day cleaning and doing wash. We also had two washing machines and two dryers because there was a set that was there when they moved in and a set my parents brought with them because there wasn't suppose to be a set there so they just hooked up the second set instead of getting rid of it and it was the best thing ever lol.

Re: Cleaning Lady

My cleaning lady does laundry and changes the sheets. I usually leave a load in the dryer and one in the wash. She folds all of those and then washes the sheets from the beds and any towels hanging up.

Re: Cleaning Lady

Thanks for all the replies! I found a few people I am going to call, I just feel bad for my hubby :) kind of, lol. He works all day and comes home and does loads upon loads of laundry. I am trying to convince him that a cleaning lady is a great idea!
