Just checked my Prenatal Vitamins and....
I have not been getting enough folic acid! The label says 200% ... I just looked again to compare with the new brand I bought and I was supposed to be taking FOUR pills a day?!
I am 19 weeks and touch wood, all of my tests have come back normal. My level II is next week and now I am freaking out.
I have taken the vitamin religiously every day even since we were TTC. I also do eat a lot of "folate rich" foods so I am hoping that between the 2  is developing just as he/she should be.
I can't believe I missed the "serving size" I just assumed it was 1 vitamin

Just checked my Prenatal Vitamins and....
I would not beat yourself up about it. My doc never even mentioned increasing my folic acid so I have no clue if I am getting enough, but my baby is perfectly healthy and developing perfectly regardless.

agreed. up until a few weeks ago i was so sick my doc said not to even worry about taking vitamins!

If you are 19 weeks then you are in the clear. The forming of the spine takes place in the first trimester and if they were concerned then they would have said something by now. Try to relax and enjoy your pregnancy.

Just checked my Prenatal Vitamins and....
You'll be fine. I wasn't even taking my pre-natalas for several weeks of my first trimester because they made me feel so sick.
My baby looked great at the NT scan and heartbeat was strong at 12 weeks and 16 weeks.

I threw up my vitamins everyday for 20+ weeks. DD is perfectly healthy. It's not harmful to not take them.

Thanks for the reassurance. I just came from picking up DD and my mom told me that she never even took folic acid. Of course I will take it, but it puts me more at ease
