My LV ripped....so upset!
I have an LV Neverfull....its only about a year and a half old. I just noticed the other day it has a rip in the side- straight through! I never carry anything sharp in it, so I have no idea how it happened.
Now, I'm assuming I have to pay for the repair? Does anyone know how much this runs and if I can take it to the LV store in RF Macy's?
I'm so upset over this. I have bags from Target that have lasted longer. I guess I expected the quality to be a little better, considering the money I spent on it.

My LV ripped....so upset!
DH just got me a Neverfull and told me that since he registered it, I can get repairs free of charge. Maybe I'm wrong, I'll ask him...

for the amount of money those bags cost they should last forever.
I would be SOOOO pizzed.

If it is a defect they will repair, but only within the first year. If it is ripped or cut then you will pay for it. The side strap on mine got caught when I was getting off a plane only months after I got the bag. It was $180 to fix it and it took about 6 weeks. You can take it into the store and they will send it out for repair.
I am also disappointed in how mine has held up. The inside pocket is badly peeling after only 2 years and they want over $200 to replace it.

I don't think I'll be buying any more LVs in the future. I'm so disappointed.

Same thing happened to my Damier Papillon bag. I will never buy another one because they are not worth the amount of money they charge to rip like that.

I broke one of the thin straps that cinch on the side of my Neverfull. I brought it to LV in Saks at Walt Whitman. They charged me $105 to replace the strap (with a brand new piece of leather so it looks odd to me) and took about 6 weeks.

is is a tear? like it got caught on something and ripped? If so they'll charge you at least $150 for the fix ....
If it's a defect they don't charge you.
My wallet had a small tear where the change pocket was pulling away from the wallet - they fixed it for nothing - and my wallet is old (at least 8 years) used every single day and other than that small tear in perfect condition.
my speedy and neverfull are also used and abused for 8 - 10 years commuting into the city, laptop, diapers, shoes, etc - on the floor shoved in my desk drawer to lock - they are still in perfect condition too .......I would buy LV again in a heart beat!

This has been my experience as well. I have owned at least 10 LV bags over the years and never, ever had a problem after beating them regularly.
