what color should we paint this room? with pic
This is one of the rooms in our new house. We took the wood paneling down and put up sheet rock so we need to choose a paint color. I'm torn between a darker tan/beige color or a gold/mustard yellow. All the windows now have white trim. All the wood is gone. This room is visible from the kitchen and dining room which are beige and a sagey green. So tan or yellow? or any other suggestions are welcome.
ETA: That is the seller's furniture, NOT ours!

I'd do tan. I have yet to meet a yellow I like.
My 1/2 bath is yellow and I hate it.

That room is so pretty. I'm no help... I like a soft beige, light yellow, or pull a color from the outside you can see from that room.

Same here. Go with the tan or a gray. They're easier to match. Yellow and I have not had a good run.

We have a room like that. we used a color called kid glove it's a real beige. I love it.

I would do a beautiful creamy yellow like bm Philadelphia Cream.I love that color!

I say a light greyish-blue tone or a light neutral mint green. When I first saw the pic I thought "Why is their blue sunroom wood-paneled?"

My vote is yellow. With all those windows it would look so bright and sunny. We just used BM Lemon Sorbet on 1 wall in our nursery and I love it.

I would have kept the wood on the ceiling and left it that color and painted everything else a shade darker than white.
I guess it depends on the style you like and your decor. I have Revere Pewter, in my foyer, kitchen, family room and basement. The upstairs gets a lot of light and doesn't seems lighter than the swatch. The basement seems to be the true color.
We have Ashley gray in the dining room which may be to dark, stone hearth is a really nice color.

I actually found a yellow that I love. I can't remeber the name but it is a BHer color.
I would do yellow. My house is tan and my den I did the yellow. LOVE IT. I had never been a big yellow fan.

My den is light yellow - BM Weston Flax - and I really like it. It's creamy and warm, but pale and understated, not too bright or "eggy."
I also agree with the suggestion of a blue, something like BM Palladium Blue?
I am always partial to color versus tans/beiges. But of course you can never really go wrong with something like a neutral tan.

I'd go with light yellow. Or maybe whatever your den kitchen (adjoining room) is but a couple notches lighter.

I love Benjamin Moore Philadelphia Creme. It's a light creamy yellow. So pretty and neutral. It would look great with your windows.
