Effects of Exercise- Running

I am 29 weeks and I go to the gym 3 times a week... I mostly walk but I run one mile at a slower speed.

Does running make u deliver early? Is it harmful?

I've always been a runner so my body is used to it... I just want to make sure I'm not going to make the baby come sooner than she should bc I've been running

Effects of Exercise- Running

If you were a runner before pregnancy and Dr gives you the go ahead and you feel comfortable then to me it would be ok. Good for you!!

Thank u! My doc said its okay just don't go as hard as I used to. I just wanted to make sure me running wouldnt move my due date up for some reason.

Yea I got uncomfortable around that time too and stopped for a bit,... Then I got sick of walking and thought I'd give running another shot and felt great!

I am a runner too and I was given the ok to keep running as well. I was just told to stay hydrated, drink extra to compensate for sweating it out, and listen to your body, don't push too hard. otherwise nope, my doc said its not harmful and just do what feels comfortable.

Effects of Exercise- Running

Pre-pregnancy I was very into fitness. during my pregnancy- I worked out. I walked up to 2-3 miles/day about 3-4 days a week. I ended up having a c-section!! But it can't hurt you. Just drink lots of water and make sure you don't overdo it :)

Re: Effects of Exercise- Running

I've been a runner for several years and have been running my entire pregnancy. I've slowed down and haven't run more than 5 miles at a pop, but I definitely have been running around 20 miles a week and I feel great.
