I had a terrible cold but figured there was nothing any doctor could do anyway. When I felt it coming on, I did call my ob just to find out everything I could take just in case I needed to take something. They gave me a list of safe meds plus safe antibiotics in case it led to that and I was unable to contact them over the weekend.
I felt sick as a dog. . but I got through it ..
I'm sorry you're feeling sick!!  When you're pregnant it's so much worse because you're limited in what you can take and sneezing/coughing becomes painful!

I had a terrible cold/cough when I first found out I was pregnant. I figured there was nothing I could do so I just dealt with it until I developed a fever, then I called my gyno. She told me to take regular Tylenol every 4 hours and it did keep the fever down.
I have seasonal allergies as well and she mentioned to me that I could take Claritin, but not Claritin D, because she could see that I wasn't feeling well.

Ive seen a bunch of posts of girls who have taken z pack. Im just not sure who prescribed it ob or regular doc. I wouldnt want to take anything my ob didnt know about.

I asked my ob this just in case and he told me to go to my regular doc. He said that their office didn't have the equiptment for a basic general medical evaluation.

He gave me some OTC to take, but told me to check with my OB. I went because I wasn't sure if it was a cold or flu.
I gave in a took a little something ( I forget one). I couldn't stand it anymore.

For colds/allergies, I didn't do anything. I did have strep this winter and went to my regular dr who gave me one of the safe antibiotics that was in the packet my OB gave me

I had an ob appointment and asked him then if I could take anything as I was having bad sinus pain. He said take metamucil or benadryl and if it didn't get better he would give me an antibiotic

I had strep in 1st tri and went to general doc. I asked my ob what to takes for nasal congestion but I can't bring myself to use a nasal spray so I just tough it out.

I had a terrible sinus and ear infection when I was about 10 weeks. I dealt with it as long as I could but then went to my regular doctor who prescribed something safe.

I am trying to tough it out BUT if this doesnt go away my plan is to go to my regular doctor, but clear any prescriptions with my OB and pharmacist first.

I have allergies pretty much all year round so sometimes I have a hard time differentiating between allergies and a cold.
I just took a saline spray a few times when it got really hard to breathe.

My OB has a sign on their door that says if you are showing any flu type symptoms please call and cancel your appt and come back when you are feeling better. I went to my GP when I was sick and he put me on antibiotics. I never felt so sick in my life!!!! I had an upper resp infection but I'm pretty sure it was Broncitis too. It was a nightmare for about a week and I'm glad I got on the antibiotics quickly so I started feeling better after about 3-4 days.

I had a horrible cough when I was about 5 weeks. I was told to go to my regular doctor. They can't give you much unless they find out that there is an infection. In the meantime they will tell you to take regular cold medicine over the counter. I keep forgetting what those are. I hope you feel better soon it sux being sick and preggo

yup I had bronchitis (aint nobody got time for that!) in the beginning. Robitussin and rest and lots of cough drops, hot tea with honey, and a couple days off work- unfortunately thats all I could do.

OB, at least mine, won't treat you when you're sick. He always told me to call my regular doctor. Certain antibiotics are safe in pregnancy, Zpac is one of them. I had to take it in both of my pregnancies. (Had bad strep and bronchitis twice) Everything was fine with babies.
When I was sick with a cold I took Tylenol, plain Sudafed, and cough drops with menthol . I also used Afrin although technically you aren't suppose to but I can't function if I cannot breathe, especially at night in bed. I held out as long as I could but I had to use it at certain points.

I had a terrible cold around 13 weeks and I was miserable. I tried to wait it out but it got so bad I had to go to my regular doctor. He couldn't do anything unless it was an infection, which it wasn't. He said I could take Robitussin (not DM) or Claritin (not D) for my symptoms. You can also take Tylenol.
Try taking those, but you just may have to stick it out until it clears

General dr. I thought I had a sinus infection but it wasn't. He told me try to tough it out without antibiotics but if it got worse or if I had a fever I should go back and then he'd consult with the Obgyn on what to do
