Annoyed with Stony Brook Gynecology and Obstetrics
Every time I have an appointment with this one particular Dr. My appointments are always rescheduled by the Dr.!!! I have seen my Dr. Once since being pregnant; I'm five months. I've been seeing the nurse practitioner! So I have an appointment on Friday and they called and said the Dr. Needs to reschedule but she isn't in any time I can go. I think I'm going to switch Dr.'s in that office! It's so frustrating!
Anyone else experience this?
Has anyone used O'keefe? I'm thinking of seeing him on Tueaday and if I like him I'm going to switch to him!

Okeefe is very nice, met him a few times during both pregnancies..with my ds I wa still very early on but was concerned over a pain I felt, to ease mind he caught the Sono tech before she left for the night and had her give me a sono..have only good experiences with him..hth

This has never happened to me. But honestly it's why you should see all the DR's when you are pregnant. Unless you are a scheduled C you won't get to choose who delivers you anyway. And even if you are a C, things happen out of your control.

Correct. I went to the same practice and rotated who I saw, any of them (or none of them) could be on call when you go into labor.

Correct. I went to the same practice and rotated who I saw, any of them (or none of them) could be on call when you go into labor.
I used the same practice and it is who is on call. In fact I had a scheduled c/s with Okeefe but DS had other plans and Welischar was on call when I went into labor so she did my section. All of them IMO are awesome. I think by the time I had DS I had seen all of them an equal amount of times.

Some people really like her and I did before I got pregnant I guess it depends on your wants. Good luck! :)

Crashing - I go to a different practice and I only saw my regular Dr once or twice during each of my pregnancies (I'm not even sure if I saw her with DS 2 - I think I was scheduled to see her and he came early). It's completely normal for this to happen.
I found out through the process though that my Dr was the one I liked least in the practice. She was always running behind and wasn't as warm and fuzzy as the others.
