Crayola Factory...

We r thinking to go - but need other sites to see and a cool hotel. I wanted to go back and stay at Best Western Eden b/c we loved the spray park - but DH doesn't want to travel another 1.5 hours to do that. Any other ideas? Would love hotel with pool or any others with a spray park?

How is Dorney park for a 3 year old?

TIA!

Re: Crayola Factory...

I would look at the website but I don't think there are any rides a 3 year old could do height wise at Dorney Park. I have yet to take my 5 and 3 year old kids because neither of them make the height cut off.

Easton PA is a rather economically depressed area of PA so I am not sure you will find a hotel like Eden there. As for other locations I am not sure of any nearby.

I would think of the Crayola Factory as an add on to an existing vacation rather than as a complete vacation in and of itself. It was newly renovated so it might be nicer than it was but in its previous incarnation it was a 2-3 hour destination maximum. From what I have read on line I still think that is an appropriate time frame. I do plan to go there again but I would add it to a larger trip. HTH

ETA: Other suggestions
Sesame Place
Please Touch Museum (PA)
Camden Aquarium (NJ)
Northlandz Trains (NJ)
Dutch Wonderland (very close to Eden)
Hershey Park (PA)
Philly Science Museum
Cherry Crest Farms
RR museum near Strasburg (PA)

There is an entire kiddie area devoted to little ones at Dorney. Camp Snoopy is the theme. There is also the waterpark. The Towneplace Suites is nice, but no spray park.

Re: Crayola Factory...

A lot of my clients visit the Crayola Factory during a trip to Sesame Place. There are a lot of great hotels in that area and Sesame Place is great for little ones.
