Selling furniture...
Does anyone know where I can sell my mom's old furniture? It's not antique but it's like 40 years old. I would be happy just to give it away too instead of throwing it out. 2 lamps and 2 living room wood end tables.

Selling furniture...
I posted things for free on Craigs List and gave them to the ones who struck me as needing them the most. You would be surprised how many people need furniture. I met some very nice people.

you can donate them to RESTORE, they pick them up from your house or mom's house. The money go towards habit for humanity.

I have done Restore through Habitat for Humanity as well as free on Craig's List and they were both great experiences. I did not have great luck selling furniture on Craig's List - I found that it was not worth the little money I got for the time, effort and aggravation dealing with the buyers.
