Tell me about symptoms
I think I'm about 4w4d. I have heartburn, nausea, minor cravings and aversions, my boobs are sore and huge, I'm tired and can't sleep.
In 9 days we leave for Jamaica. I'm nervous that I will feel so sick and either not be able to go or be puking the whole time .
Did your symptoms increase? When did they peak? Is it possible ill go from just nausea to full on vomiting?
I'm thinking if going to my PCP to discuss this with him and see if he can suggest or prescribe something for MS.
Thoughts?

Re: Tell me about symptoms
Mine get worse when I hit 6 weeks usually.. and at 14 weeks I still have bad MS. I go from not being able to sleep, to needing to sleep soo much. It just depends, but I would talk to ur OB, i have zofran for days that I cant keep anything down.

Same here. I was on Zofran my entire pregnancy. We actually cancelled our trip to Jamaica last summer. I would have been 8 weeks and there was no way I was getting on a plane feeling the way I did. But def try Zofran if its really bad. It works wonders!!

Tell me about symptoms
With this pregnancy I was nauseous but only threw up 2x. With DS I never threw up but I was nauseous. You may not throw up at all and I hope you don't! See how you feel but you may be ok.

Re: Tell me about symptoms
Honestly it depends- everyone is differnet. I never got full blown nausea and morning sickness. I never vomitted. I had major smell aversions and some food aversions and I would feel queasy if my stomach was empty...but never full blown nausea. So you may get lucky and not get any worse than you are feeling now.

Tell me about symptoms
I had severe morning sickness from weeks 6-11, then it came back sporadically around 13-15 weeks. Now it is gone. I had major food/smell aversions during those times as well. Sciatica was terrible from weeks 11-14, now it's pretty much gone unless I strain myself. Boobs have been sore off and on the whole time.
I did not take Zofran for my MS. It was prescribed, but I chose not to take it.

Re: Tell me about symptoms
I only had nausea for about 2 weeks.. then the full on sickness happened for the next 8-10 weeks.
They didn't really peak for me. One day I woke up and the sickness just happened. The exhaustion also didn't help. I don't even remember going to work that much during that time. I felt like I spent the first 3 months on the sofa under a blanket or in the bathroom.
I had some food aversions but more to spices then actual foods (which was worse). Personally for me, I have the tendency to sometimes get sick on planes anyway so I know at that point the smell of the plane alone would be it for me. But again, everyone is different and every pregnancy is different.
If it were me, I'd look into the cancellation policy for the trip just in case. . I'd talk to your OB, not your PCP about this.

I was really sick from weeks 4-8 and extremely tired. After 8 weeks it tapered off. Hope you feel well enough for yours trip.

Re: Tell me about symptoms
The OB office is just like really nonchalant about waiting for my first visit. I felt my PCP I could see in person. The OB even told me to call my neurologist about getting off some meds.

Agreed. Everyone and every pregnancy is different. I've been in the 1st tri a few times and this pregnancy has been the easiest by far. Then you see people who need to get an IV drip at the hospital because they are so dehydrated from morning sickness.. It really all depends.
