E-Ring & Band...separate or together?

I've been married for almost 7years and the diamonds to my eternity band were wearing away on my ering setting.

So we are in the process of resetting it. I have always worn the 2 together...but the new band (while similar in being a solitaire setting, it's going to pop even more in thickness/less prongs)

Do I connect them to prevent wear again...or separate & wear them on separate hands?

WWYD & why?

E-Ring & Band...separate or together?

I like them separate because I wear my wedding band alone most times. My friend has hers soldered together and she loves it. It's all personal preference. I'm sorry I know that's no real help.

Re: E-Ring & Band...separate or together?

I like mine separate because sometimes I wear just the wedding band. Especially when I go on vacation out of the country for safety reasons or when I am at a pool, I am so paranoid about losing the diamond in my e-ring (I have a new ring and don't have to worry about a lose diamond but I am still paranoid) If I were to ever have them attached, I would probably buy an inexpensive band to wear to the places I mentioned.

E-Ring & Band...separate or together?

I wear them separate. I have short fingers so it looks silly when I wear them together. I like having a ring on each hand too.

Separate

I think you have to have a really nice ring and band for it to look nice together. It can go wrong very easily, lol. I sometimes think it looks 80's, but thats just me.

E-Ring & Band...separate or together?

I wear mine together but they are not attached. I had my wedding band custom made so it rests against the engagement ring but it can also be worn alone.

Re: E-Ring & Band...separate or together?

I love my band as much as my ering. I've always worn them both on any vacation (Mexico, Virgin Islands), so if I ever thought to not wear the ering, the band wouldn't go either. (I have insurance, so I typically worn them, except in chlorine & I do have a simple white gold band I wear everyday with kids, physical stuff.)

I figured if ask & see what others have done.

ETA: trying to decide would I regret joining them?

Re: E-Ring & Band...separate or together?

I always wear mine together, but both of my rings are simple in design. Wedding band is just a white gold band, no stones or engraving. Engagement ring is also a simple white gold band with a square diamond, no additional stones or engravings.

I wouldn't get mine joined together permanently - although I do always wear both together, I like having them as two separate rings. And I guess if god forbid I ever lost one...well, if there is only one ring because they're joined, then I would lose both at one time :(

I've always worn mine together. This post reminds me how much I miss my rings Chat Icon I had to take them off around 5 months pregnant ... currently 7 months and I feel like an unwed pregnant teen when I'm out in public! Chat Icon Chat Icon

That's an idea!!! I have a plain band that I wear for everyday use. When I get the setting, may see how it all looks together.

I usually wear them separately. My e-ring is a split-shank, so I feel like it looks better on it's own.

However, now that I have a DD, I'm becoming super clumsy and knocking my e-ring into everything (I'm a right, and it's on my right hand). So, I'm going to start putting them together on my left. I will be wearing a rose gold spacer in between, to prevent the my wedding band from eating the metal on my e-ring.

Re: E-Ring & Band...separate or together?

I got the new setting & love it!

I was wearing just the Eternity band & actually got used to it.

So they redipped my plain old white gold band I wear everyday & I decided if I want to wear them together, I could always wear that thin band between them.
