Out-east contractors?

One of the extreme higher ups of my former company (of which I still work for minimally) called me and asked if DH, who has his own construction business, can come to his house in the Hamptons and install a new back slider.

First, this isn't really something that would be worthwhile financially for DH to trek out to the Hamptons for and secondly, DH is nervous about getting involved with someone I work for, in case, god forbid, something goes wrong. I didn't tell him this obviously, but would still like to help.

Can anyone recommend a few contractors out east I can recommend? I told him we would get back to him with a few good people.

TIA!!!

I know a great contractor and does a lot of Hampton work but I don't think he'd just take on such a small job but I'll ask.

If you still need someone, call Tom Andrews at 631-495-2439. He lives in Southampton and is not only good, but honest. I have used him for years. He would do a small job like that. I have him coming over to price some work tomorrow.

If he needs more than just a slider, check with HHCM in Southampton 283-5540. It's a high end construction management firm that does exquisite work on huge estates, but is very picky about its clients.

Re: Out-east contractors?

Don't feel bad. My BILs have their own construction business who work mainly in the city. We use him in the city but we have yet to ask him to help us out East. Even though his work is phenomenal, asking his employees to drive out 2hrs and back 2hrs and work at the house for 4 hrs is retarded. We have had to find our own people out there, not GC but plumbing, electric, etc. Haven't found a good GC either. Have to start bribing my BILs to spend the weekend lol.
