Redoing driveway/sidewalks
We need to redo our sidewalks and driveway. It's concrete. I have never looked into pavers, are they are lot more money?
Can anyone recommend a company to use? We are in Levittown.

Pavers are about double concrete at least when I was looking a few years ago.
we used Joe at JP Miller Concerete for our masonary work. He does good work and is reasonably priced. He's in Wantagh 516-783-7544.
He's done a lot of work in my area. He did our driveway walk (pavers)and patio in our old house. In our new house He did the walk (pavers) and steps(brick and bluestone) as well as the sidewalks on the side of the house. I also had him do veneer stone for our floor to ceiling fireplace.
good luck.

We just had our driveway widened and the walk ways re-done. The driveway and walkways are asphalt and all of it is lined with pavers. To do the whole thing in pavers would have been a LOT more (DH met with them before hiring, so I don't recall the difference, but it was a huge difference). We used Atlas

Pavers are a lot more money than concrete.
For pavers I would contact Fernando of Doctor Pavers 631-901-9450. He does work all over LI. Do a search for him on here and you will see how many rave reviews he has before he became an advertiser on this site.

I called them but the person said she didn't think he would come to Levittown, which sounded odd since he is based in Wantagh.
Fernando is coming tonight at 6pm.

concrete is about $7-$8/ square foot and pavers are about $10.50-$12/square foot depending on the style. We used Trulys contracting for our rear paver patio, rear stoop and fire pit and they will be coming again in august to do our cultured stone and stoop on the front of our house. 632-218-8238
