Freedom/meds question

hi ladies! i am starting injectables tonight and freedom is delivering the meds to my apartment today. they told me that a few of them will be on ice and need to be refridgerated. DH and i both work about 45 mins from home and dont really have a doorman or anyone nearby that is available to store them for us -- how long do you think its okay to leave them in the delivery box (they said they sent them on ice)?

thanks and good luck to all!

They come very well packed and on heavy duty ice packs. Are you sure they will leave the box though? The last 2 times I ordered they would not do a drop without a signature and I had to have them delivered to the fed ex place by my job. You might want to call and make sure they don't need a signature!

Me too.. they required signature for me unless I was able to pick it up at the fed ex distributing place. Double check!

I just had mine delivered and you can tell them to leave them. I didn't sign for mine. They can't be held liable though. Mine were not packed in Styrofoam but they had ice paks. Mine were not totally cold when I got home but I read that with gonal f it is ok. It matters more after you use the pen.

I just spoke to the pharmacy and they have tested the product and it can stay 48 hrs the way they pack it. (At least with gonal f. Also she said it can stay room temp for 90 days. You should be just fine!

phew! thanks all! i told them no signature required and checked fedex, so i know they were delivered. thankfully it isnt too warm today. i think DH is excited for an excuse to leave work early so he may go put them in the fridge just to be safe :)

thanks for calming my nerves -- ordered the max refill allowed and def dont want to mess anything up!

Glad to hear this! I wonder why they wouldn't let me have them dropped off...they said they didn't do it anymore b/c too many people claimed they didn't get their meds. Will have to ask again for next time.
