Is this crib too girlie? Opinions please

DH and I are expecting DS2. We cannot find a crib set we both think is the one. With DS1 we both fell in love with a set and that was that.

We have narrowed in down to the Pali Gardena. I think it is a beautiful crib BUT, i'm having 2nd thoughts bc it seems a little girlie to me now. We are buying the conversion kit so this will be our son's set for many many years. I was all set to make the call to order and the stopped myself. But we can't exactly find anything else we both love. I'm 28 weeks so the clock is ticking.

Ok for a boy or not?

Here is is converted but in a different color. We'd get the expresso one in the 1st pic.External Image

Westwood just came out with this exact crib and my mom wanted me to see it.

I'm having a Chat Icon and do think the floral engraving makes it more feminine then neutral. If I were a 8 yr old boy I wouldn't want that on my bed.

Here's the other one I like but DH does not. It's by Munire. He thinks the wavy top makes it girlie and since both the Pali and this one have it, he prefers the Pali.External Image

I think the floral is a little feminine for an older boy. Pali Marina is very similar.

I think it's feminine - especially when converted to a bed when DS is older.

That floral piece does make it too feminine for me especially when it gets converted.

Oddball out here I guess. I DON'T think it's 'girly'.

At all.

No one is going to be pay attention to that specific detail - they'll be looking at your overall scheme. Color, other decor, etc.

If you like it - get it.
