? Saturday evening LI wedding
I want to buy a new dress for an upcoming wedding for close friends of DH family.
It's evening on LI.
I will probably go with a typical LBD, but I was looking online and there are some stunning maxi dresses.
Part of me is feeling that this is not dressy enough though.
Thoughts?

It's hard to judge without seeing what they look like. Could be fine or could be too casual. What's the fabric and color?

I ended up going with something else any way. The style that I was looking at was a cotton stretch type of fabric in the store and I felt like it was "too casual". Maybe if it was an outdoor wedding......thanks ladies!

I work in the wedding industry and ANYTHING goes. Women right now are wearing everything from dressy maxis to skintight shorter than short dresses. I see day dresses at night and night dresses during the day. Honestly, unless it's a denim mini dress with a white ruffled train with rain boots, you're fine.
