Okay I found out I am team blue ... What are you all doing about circumcision/bris and your shoot ... Dd you contact the photographer and ask them or did you not worry and I am just super crazy over this

And be honest if I am worrying too much lol

I'm not really sure what you are asking. Are you photographing the circumcision/bris or are you just worried after he has it that you won't be able to get your newborn photo shoot?

My sister is an OB and is going to do the circumcision when we get home from the hospital (OBs do it, not the peds like I thought). We will NOT be taking pictures or anything like that. I might actually even leave the apartment for it. The photo shoot will probably be a few days later and he shouldn't be cranky during it because of the circumcision. Every baby I've seen the day after having it is fine, just be careful changing the diaper.

I'm guessing you concern is that these shoots often have the babies clothing and diaper free with a few cute accessories. I would think this is something they are used to dealing with and probably use some protective material to safetly cover the area or some other option.

Sorry I was confusing
I am getting newborn photos done ... I am worried about him being cranky And or not being able to be naked in the photos ... I am worried about infection ... Yes I am a worry wort

Both my boys had photo shoots five days after they were born. My photographer was really careful with that area. Most of the photos my DS 2 had his diaper on and she worked around it. DS1 had his diaper off for a few shots and then pooped on her beautiful white blanket. neither were cranky because of their circumcision ever, even right after it was done.

we just had our shoot. None of the pictures taken had his "parts" visible. He wasn't cranky from the circ and it wasn't an issue at all.

Mine were done a few days after the circumcision healed. My DS was hungry, cranky, peed and pooped everywhere, etc. However, the photog was excellent and you would never know. Overall, it was fun.

I'm a newborn photographer and I've never had any issues with boys. The ones that are done in the hospital are healed by the time of their session, and for the Jewish babies, I usually do the session before the bris- that's just the way it works out timing wise!
