Went to babies r us today...
... And boy did we feel overwhelmed!!! This is our first baby and there is so much to choose from! We def made progress on deciding on the big items like crib, stroller, car seat etc... But boy do we have a lot to get !!
Anyone else feel overwhelmed.?

its incredibly overwhelming... i found that using the guides was helpful...

Do they give you the guide when you register? I kept asking for help today and no one was really helpful. We didn't register today we were just looking around to get an idea for things but I was really bummed with the customer service.

Do they give you the guide when you register? I kept asking for help today and no one was really helpful. We didn't register today we were just looking around to get an idea for things but I was really bummed with the customer service.
Yes but we registered at BBB, they gave me a gift bag with samples and a guide. They asked if i wanted someone to walk around with me, but i declined. I had my mom with me.

Use the guide and do a little at a time. Start with the bigger stuff.
Also, if you can find a recently btdt mom to go with you to the store and help you sort through the millions of options it will be helpful, at least it was for me.

Yes, I was totally overwhelmed so I made an appointment at BBB to have a sales rep walk me through everything. Very helpful!

Went to babies r us today...
We were COMPLETELY overwhelmed!!! I ended up doing A LOT of editing when I got home. We registered at BBB and no one told us about the person who would walk around with us until we were done otherwise we would have done that. When I registered at Target I brought my SIL and it was SO much better! She just told me what to scan and what was a waste.

It's very overwhelming. Do you have friends who recently had babies? When I registered, I printed out 2 or 3 registries of my friends, and that helped a lot.

I don't have any friends that recently had babies but they have children so I'll ask them to come with me to the store for pointers! Good idea! :)

We were so overwhelmed and I couldn't stand stand up anymore...we went back 5 times because we were undecided on certain things and now we are finally done

YES!!! DEF ALL OF THIS!!! We went on the weekend and you couldn't even get into the stroller section it was so crowded!!!

Interesting you said this... I was speaking to my husband and we were thinking about doing a registry at the store and then going on line for the rest ! I've been researching online as well; it's like a part time job lol

I second everything she said! I loved baby bargains. I went into bbb to register knowing 75% of what I wanted. I do remember that anxiety though. :( I will say this, second time around you feel like a professional. Lol

Yes! I learned so much from that book. Definitely read through it before going to the store. It will make everything seem less overwhelming.

Its overwhelming at first but once you research online and talk to friends and/or family you learn about brands and stuff. Thats how I learned. Right now my most overwhelming thing are picking bottle brands lol

I haven't done too much research on bottles yet but i heard
Advent and Dr. Browns bottles have good reviews! Good luck! :)

Went to babies r us today...
I cried!  But I took a lot of notes from the Baby Bargains book and that really put my mind at ease and made the process smooth. I took my mom with me. though DH was there for the "trial run".
