Anyone have the newest version of Baby Bargains? I have a question...
I am expecting DS2 and decided not to buy Baby Bargains again since I was reusing some of DS1's things.
BUT, there is one area where I need help, cribs! We can't decide between a Pali set and a Munire set.
Can someone who has the book please let me know what the ratings are for Munire and Pali. And whether anything stands out in terms of negatives and positives. Please.
DH and I can't agree and we need to order this crib set asap as I'm 28 weeks already
ETA: Does the book say anything about where the furniture is manufactured?

I have it at home and can look. From what I remember Munire had great reviews, I can't remember Pali off hand.

Re: Anyone have the newest version of Baby Bargains? I have a question...
Munire: A
Positives: The Toyota Camry of cribs. Has nice details like dove tail drawers that you would find ing higher end pieces for a lower price. Good customer service.
Negatives: Some crib styles need to be completely disassembled to adjust the mattress height. Some people complain that the finish scratches easily.
Pali: A-
Quality is good, better than it has been in the past. Bottom line: Pali is a good, mid-price brand that offers a dash of European design flash and decent quality.

Also wanted to add...
Munire has a sub-division called Echelon which is all wood construction, no MDF, and made in the USA.
Their Munire USA line is also 100% wood with no MDF.
I'm going to Behr's tomorrow to check these out.

We have a Munire furniture set that we got when DS was born -- got it at Behr's. I'll be using that for this baby and DS will move to his big boy bed!

Thanks for this. I looked at some Echelon furniture but we ultimately have narrowed it down to the Munire Bristol collection or the Pali Gardena. DH isn't crazy about the Munire and although I like the Pali, I want the Munire.

Ah ok. I don't have the book on me but, Pali I believe is made in Indonesia and Munire is some Asian country.
