Can anyone recommend an OB in or around the Islip Area
I just made an apt with Oakdale OBGYN but its not for 3 weeks from now. I had told her I had a previous mc with low progesterone and she said they wont take me any earlier than 6 weeks.
I thought they would atleast want to monitor me for lo progesterone

There are alot of people on here who hate him- but your could try Dr.Piliterri. He's a high risk OB/Gyn in Deer Park (on 231).
Just an FYI- they'll probably get you in right away- but yesterday I waited almost 3 hours. 
You could also try Comprehensive OB/Gyn in West Islip

I go to and LOVE Comprehensive OBGYN in West Islip. Dr. Sampino and Dr. Vullo are fantastic. Dr. Sampino just delivered my son last week and did a great job. Can't say enough good things about the office.
Also, Dr. Kiran Trivedi is WONDERFUL. He is a covering physician for Comprehensive OBGYN but has his own practice. I saw him when I needed to go to L&D and he was on call. I would have been more than happy to have him deliver me!

I use Dr. Antoniadis at Nassau Suffolk OBGYN in West Islip. He is great. No complaints so far. 
He is a high risk OB and came highly recommended from the ladies in this bored!!

I see Dr. Kristy egner. She is in Dr. Kastans office in Oakdale and another Dr office in Islip, just not sure which one. Dr kastan is good too

Dr. Egner delivered my dd when she was in Dr. Palidoros office. And Dr. Trivedi delivered my ds BC he took over that practice. I wasn't overly happy with him when I had my mc last year

It's so funny the different personal experiences people have with the same doctor! I'm on baby #2 with Dr. Trivedi. Love him, can't say enough positive things. Had a miscarriage with Dr. Egner who was so cold, worst bedside manner, unhelpful. Saw Dr. Kasten once and had the same negative vibe. It was like I was bothering them both. Good luck withwhomever you choose. Feel free to FM me.

I am see Dr. Berlin & Dr. Egner for this LO and at 8months preggo so far so good. I never wait at an appointment for more than 5 minutes and the staff is friendly and helpful. I prefer Dr. Berlin over Dr. Egner personality wise.
I left Oakdale OBGYN after having DS for a number of reasons. I found that place to be a baby factory and always dropping the ball in one way or another. They were terrible about giving test results and I often played phone tag with the doctors or nurses.
The receptionists seemed VERY scattered and often would not make call backs, would not put me in the computer for appointments even though I had a card with the date and time on it, and would quadruple book appointments so the wait time was always over an hour. One of the doctors would complain to me about her staff....um don't you run the business???? A colleague of mine also had major issues with them and has switched for her current pregnancy and is using another OBGYN who delivers at Stony Brook.
