LA/San Diego trip
Hotel and airfare is booked! Staying at the Mondrian in West Hollywood and the Omni in San Diego. Now I need help with sights to see/restaurant recommendations. I am going with a group of 6 girls (late 20's early 30's age range) What are your MUST see recommendations for LA/San Diego? TIA!

Re: LA/San Diego trip
I have been to LA a few times during my teen years and loved it. Looking to go back. I posted about it too.
Check out the Chinese theater, sunset & Hollywood blvd, LA Live, studio tours, Venice beach, Mulholland drive, and Malibu. Google the go LA card and you get a prepaid card good for 39 attractions. It pays for itself in just a few attractions.

LA/San Diego trip
DH and I went to LA for one day and SD for a week about a year and a half ago ... in LA, we stayed at the Roosevelt - the TMZ tour was fun (and we also did a "city highlights" sort of tour that took us to the H'wood Bowl, Farmers Market, The Grove, etc - great if you only have a short time to see the big stuff) ... in SD, we stayed with family and enjoyed seeing La Jolla, downtown (great Chuck Jones gallery there, if you're into animation), the beaches, Balboa Park - SD Zoo and Sea World were fun too ... we took Amtrak from LA to SD and it was a beautiful ride ...
