I just posted this as a reply but hoping to get a few more responses if i pose a new question

Pelvic pain.... What to do?

Moving in bed is hand down the worst. I feel like ive been kicked in my who-ha and i despise moving/getting up to pee. It started with just that and once i would start walking etc i was fine. Today i had a somewhat busy day nothing crazy but on my feet doing errands etc. well im at home right now almost in tears. Ive gone online and it has a name. Psd or gpd Basically its due to the hormones we produce to loosen everything up, the ligament holding our pelvis together becomes too loose causing pain so i get that its normal. Unfortunately being normal doesnt make it any less painful

Im afraid it will keep me from doing things these last weeks but i dont think "pushing through it" will do anything but aggravate it

Does anyone know ways to make it manageable? Will it get worse until i give birth?

I have an ice pack bwteen my legs as I type this ..my groin is shot! Im 36+ weeks and by end of day my groin and.pelvic floor are sore. My hip bones pop when i roll over or change position in bed. I have come to learn that u must rest as much as you run around or on your feet..its the only way you will survive ..lol

Re: Owwwwwie

I've been there-twice!

Look up Pubic Symphysis Dysfunction on you tube for some exercises you can do, sleep with a pillow between your knees, sit on an exercise ball for 30 minutes at a time (relieves pressure on the hips).

If all else fails and you can't take it- ask your OB for a referral to a physical therapist.

Mine got so bad with my first 2 that I could barely walk.

Feel better!!

I have this. Days when I am too active or not active enough it is the worst. I will just be walking and all of a sudden feel like my leg came out of the socket. At night it takes a serious of 15 maneuvers to change position and my DH usually has to help me get up.

I think what the above posters suggested is good advice. I would also make sure you are wearing comfy supportive shoes. I noticed a BIG difference when I switched from flip flops to chunky ugly crocs. My knee pain(also due to the same concept) improved a lot with more foot support also. Resting your joints will be the ultimate solution which I know isn't always possible.

ITA. Try it. I wish I would've known about it when I was pregnant. I was in SO much pain it was ridiculous. I don't even know how I lived with that pain for as long as I did.
But, I've heard good things about the support belt. I hope it works! I know just how excruciating it can be.
