Re: Can I ask a wedding related (guest point of view) question?

I would go to the wedding, because frankly, I probably wouldn't want her to be there anyway. I know that probably sounds terrible, but I'd be looking forward to drinking and hanging out adult-style!

Also, aside from our nephews, I did not invite any family members' children to my wedding.

Re: Can I ask a wedding related (guest point of view) question?

I think it depends. I would find out before I sent the RSVP back if we could all come. If it was a local wedding and I had someone to babysit with no problems I would go but if it was something where it would turn into a big hassel I would say thanks but no thanks.

Re: Can I ask a wedding related (guest point of view) question?

I would totally go to the wedding. Honestly, even if Ava were invited, I wouldn't take her. I would not want to spend my whole night taking care of her. Just being honest. I would rather leave her with someone and go and enjoy myself.

Re: Can I ask a wedding related (guest point of view) question?

Hmm, well, immediate family, I can't imagine why Ava wouldn't be welcome. However, I think I would bring her maybe for a very short time, then arrange for SIL or someone to come pick her up for the remainder of the evening.

I think that it is entirely reasonable for someone not to want any babies or toddlers at a wedding.

I would go without my child if that is what my family member wanted.

Re: Can I ask a wedding related (guest point of view) question?

I gave my family (we have about 12 kids under 5) if they wanted to bring their children. Some did and some didn't.

Being that it's immediate family I would just ask them if you can bring her. I'm sure they wouldn't mind. Maybe they were thinking that you would want a night out?
