Braxton Hicks question
Is there a way to differentiate between Braxton Hicks and the baby just putting pressure on you while moving into another position?
I've read that your stomach gets hard but, is it literally hard on the outside, all over the stomach?
I'm so confused about all of this lol. I'm going to my doc tomorrow and I can ask then but he's a guy lol. I don't expect him to know exactly what it feels like.

Re: Braxton Hicks question
I was told that if it IS Braxton Hicks, you just need to switch positions and it should go away. If it doesn't go away after totally switching positions, then it is something else -- perhaps the other thing you are describing or, when closer to your due date, actual contractions.
That's all I know

Braxton Hicks question
Whenever I had BH, it was this tightness/hardness that would happen just under my boobage. It was always in the same spot.

Re: Braxton Hicks question
BHs is when your uterus tightens really hard. You will feel it from the outside. When your baby is just moving around, it's a totally different sensation. DS used to stick his head out all the time, but I could mostly just feel that at the end of my pregnancy when he was getting big. He was breech so I'd feel his head at the top or side of my stomach. BH, on the other hand, is like the entire center of your stomach hardening.

Braxton Hicks question
When I had BH, I had no clue I was having contractions. I thought the baby was kicking. It felt hard. It didn't hurt. Then when I was in the hospital and I felt the same thing and the doctor asked, "you didn't feel that?!" and I'm like "yeah the baby kicked". And he's said "No! You had a contraction." "I did?!"
I guess I expected it to be worse.
