Sitting behind the steering wheel...

On Sunday I got in the car and realized my stomach hit the steering wheel while I was trying to get in. Nothing hard, just a gaze. Then I went to steer and my hand then gazed my stomach. Thankfully I was in wedges and could move the seat back but I'm scared that when I get in the car in my flats I'm not going to be able to drive. I still have 5.5 weeks left. I'm 5" so it's not like I can just move the seat so that I'm not as close, then I can't reach the peddles.

Is anyone else having this problem? I can't just not drive and as I get bigger I'm guessing it's just going to get harder.

Recline the seat a touch. I am 5' and drive like that normally otherwise the steering wheel would always be in my face.

I'm 5'7" so I don't have this problem, 1 week left and I'm a good foot away from the steering wheel. MY friend is 5'1" and she can't drive anymore. She tried tilting the steering wheel so it's straight up and down but no luck. Not only can she not reach the pedals but she can't reach the steering wheel either.

Thanks girls for the advice! Tilting the seat back doesn't really help because then it hurts my lower back too much and I'm in wicked amounts of pain. I will try to do it just a little bit though and see if I have any relief. Tilting the steering wheel MIGHT help actually. I didn't think of that. I have it really low because it's hard to see over it when it's up all the way (problems of a short person LOL).
