When the 2nd trimester starts.
So wow there are apparently 3 different methods of calculating when second trimester starts which was news to me! I have always thought 12 weeks u start 2nd which I am still going by but some say 13 weeks which I now know why!
Wanted to post this site in case it clarifies things for others who may have been confused!

When the 2nd trimester starts.
I just went by 40 weeks divided by 3 trimesters. Plus, all my apps would tell me when the next trimester started LOL

I considered the start of my 2nd trimester as the end of the 13th week. I am considering the start of my 3rd trimester as the end of my 27th week.
It seems like there are so many discrepancies depending on where you look, but that seems to be the latest possible point to enter the various trimesters and ALLl sources agree about which trimester you're in. That's why I just go by that.

When the 2nd trimester starts.
That link above says this at the bottom, which makes sense...
Beginning: From LMP to 12 weeks the embryo develops all the major organs, becomes a fetus, and the placenta takes over control.
Middle: From 12 weeks to 27 weeks the fetus continues developing and reaches viability.
End: From 27 weeks on the fetus finishes development and prepares for delivery.
