Preterm Labor
Im 31 weeks and last week was diagnosed with preterm labor. I'm having contractions pretty regularly, am 1+ cm dilated (as of Friday) and had a positive FFN. Is sex off limits? My doctor didn't say...I'm on modified bed rest. Thanks!

i would assume yes. everytime i was on moderate bedrest he said no sex

This. Since doctors say sex can induce labor then I'd stay away.

I went in to preterm labor at 30 weeks (2 weeks ago) with positive fFN and now am on modified bed rest as well and  is off limits! Good luck!

i would say sex is definitely off limits, esepcially is you are 1+cm dialated.

Surprisingly, my doctor wasn't totally against it today! She said there is some evidence that it could cause more progress, but it isn't totally convincing that it would cause labor...I'm probably going to wait until 35 weeks anyway (that's when she will take me off of bed rest as well).
