Which would you pick?

I'm trying to narrow down where DH and I should go for our anniversary. It will just be us two, so nowhere too kid oriented. Our anniversary is Columbus Day weekend in October. We would go from Friday to Monday. For just a long weekend, we really just want an awesome beach, good food and drinks. Nightlife doesn't need to be too crazy, but we definitely want something in the way of nightlife. It's definitely part of hurricane season, so I have to keep that it mind too.
I think we would have a blast in Key West- I've been, DH hasn't. But there are no direct flights, which winds up being a decent amount of traveling for a weekend.
We have never been to Aruba, and at least we would be out of the hurricane belt.
Antigua is someplace I would like to visit. But I'm debating if it would be good for us as a couple, or if I should save it for a family trip.
Puerto Rico is someplace we've talked about a lot. But I think it may not be best in October.
Bahamas is a direct flight out of our local, small airport so that's really appealing. On the flip side, we don't love Bahamas that much- it would just be most convenient.

Please let me know which you would pick and I would love some hotel suggestions!

We went to Aruba for our honeymoon and LOVED it! There are so many great restaurants, the people are very friendly and the weather is amazing! I would absolutely recommend going there.

I've done Key West in Oct and it's been great. Even though there are connecting flights - it probably takes about the same amount of time as a place like Aruba (which is also great) where you have to factor in waiting at customs (which I found to take awhile).

Re: Which would you pick?

What about the Riviera Maya at an all inclusive adults only,,,I've stayed at Excellence and LOVED it snd also the El Dorado...normally I would totally vote for Aruba, but RM is an easier flight!

Which would you pick?

Flight to Aruba is too long for just an extended weekend. I vote Riviera Maya. Short flight, beautiful beaches, wonderful food. I stayed at Royal Catalonia Tulum (adults-only). It was amazing and priced reasonably too. The only downside is distance from airport. (An hour +)...

Love it there, but it's been a while since I've been without kids. LOL

Since it is really only for an extended weekend what about an all inclusive? You really just need a place where you can lay on the beach all day, have drinks and food. No need to do much site seeing or anything for a few days.
No matter what I'm sure it'll be great and you'll have fun

Bermuda!!

We thought about that, but it's not warm enough in October. And smack dab in hurricane territory for that time of year.

We recently stayed at Le Blanc, an adults only resort in Cancun. It was really wonderful, I couldn't say enough good things about it!
