Pirate & Pals Fireworks Cruise

DH & I were looking at this for our next Disney trip (hopefully in the fall). We've read some reviews and it seems great, but the reviews we've read have lead us to have questions.

If anyone has done this, is there a photopass photographer present? Is the photographer there at the beginning (with Hook & Smee) and at the end (with Peter Pan) - or only at one or the other? Some reviews say get to the Contemporary 3 hours early because there are games and activities for this kids, as well as snacks and drinks, others don't mention this at all. Have you participated in this part?

Any extra insight is welcome!

We have done the Pirate and Pals cruise, my ds is a peter pan freak. We did get there early to enjoy the snacks before you sail off, and they hand out bandanas and other lil stuff. I dont remmeber getting there 3 hours early though, but definitly at least an hour ahead of time. As for the photopass, yes they are present before you sail to take pics with captain hook and smee. At the end of the cruise you take a pic with peter pan, no photopass was at that time. The kids, and heck the parents LOVED it. They give out prizes during the cruise also by asking disney trivia. I won :) lol
