Yeah, I love that site. My town's future job growth is 29% Chat Icon

I can't believe how expensive the median home price in Cary is...it's only $180 where I live. But Cary was voted one of the best places to live! Chat Icon

I must have been looking at the wrong thing... not to say that it's not SUPER impressive.

If my family wasn't in GA, I would have done NC. Even though I hate their drivers! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Out of towners

I got it!! It works by zip...if I type the city where I live, I get one set of info for the general city. But if I type my zip code, I get specific info that sounds much better to me. That's pretty cool!!

We have the same rate!! Chat Icon

It's a far cry from my old zip...where it was "7" for violent and "6" for property! Chat Icon

Re: Out of towners

yeah, the crime rate just doesn't seem to match...I think regardless if you are close to the city, that is included in the rate. must be domestic disturb and such

You do the research so that it makes sense "on paper" and it completely justifies moving after you visit and you fall in love. Or at least that's how it was for us!

Re: Out of towners

I think more space is covered in zip codes down here as well. I love my area right now, we could never afford to live here, and I am shocked!! Violent crime is an 8. I would have never guessed.

med home is 295,000...maybe a bunch of wife beaters?
