Hi and welcome!! I also have pcos, its very, very common. im on metformin for the insulin resistance pcos can cause. its helped get my cycles to about 38-40 days, which is really good for me. i used to go 90+ days without a period!! ive also taken provera, it brings on your period. as for advice ive found eating a low carb diet really helps some of the sympyoms. good luck and I hope your stay is short!

I also was recently diagnosed with PCOS. My cycles had gone haywire and was also put on 1500 mg of metformin. I also like the PP said had to go on provera to bring on my period and am now (8 months later) TTC. It's been challenging and I've had a lot of monitoring along the way (Just did 50 mg of Clomid to help me ovulate and now need a progesterone suppository to help thicken my lining). My biggest advice is that although many people have PCOS each person's experience is unique. Also try to keep a low carb diet as it helps regulate the insulin better. This forum has been a huge help for me and I have gained a lot of knowledge from the other girls on here....so don't be afraid to ask questions or throw things out there when you're unsure!

Re: PCOS

Welcome! Also have PCOS, I got diagnosed with it about 6 years. I was on birth control for a few years, but for the last year or so, I've been off them and got back on Metformin recently, which has helped to put my cycles back to about 30 days - which is super exciting!
