IVF w Dr. B

My insurance has no coverage for IVF. What are the OOP costs for IVF w Dr. B, all in? Does he do any packages (ie buy a few at once at a discount).

Thanks.

I recently received the pricing packet...I can send it to you if you'd like. Not sure if I can put an attachment in fm? If not we can exch email. Its easier to send you the packet bc there are a lot of diff prices. Another option...if you call the office they will send it right to you.

IVF w Dr. B

If you are totally OOP def shop around and see what the different RE's charge. I know it sounds harsh but IVF is a business and you have to consider the costs as well as the RE/facility.

I have recurrent pregnancy losses and significant immunological issues.

I was able to buy a pacakge with Dr. B, called it 2 + 2. In 2009 we paid $10k for one round of IVF with the option (if it failed, which it did) to buy up to 3 more for an additional $10k. A single cycle was going to be $8k, but you have to decide to this upfront to get the deal on package, so we did. Figured worse case we were out $2k if it worked but knowing I had egg quality issues it was a no brainer for us to go for the package. I did "shop" so to speak and this was the best deal for us. Some places offered shared risk but I didn't qualify.

What is shared risk?

I hope he still has a plan like the one you described. Does it include meds? I would 100% do that.

I hope you had success!

The shared risk is something where you can get some money back. Not 100% sure how it works, but NSUH had a plan like that. It was either based on getting pregnant on the fewest cycles or not getting pregnant at all when you would see a refund.

Not sure about Dr. B, these days. It DID NOT cover meds or freezing. But it did cover ICSI and assisted hatching.
Ironically, IVF didn't work for us (we used 2 cycles) but we do have a miracle DD from a cyle that was converted to IUI. Chat Icon
