Crappy appointment yesterday!
We were hoping to find out the gender, but the sono tech rushed us out within 10 minutes (it was an early anatomy scan that they offered). Barely showed us anything and didn't even try to get the baby to move since its legs were crossed.
I called and expressed my displeasure with the appointment, and they said the office manager would call me back. Here's hoping!

I know how much it stinks to wanna know the gender so badly and get disappointed when you can't find out just yet, but don't lose sight of the most important thing here! Baby is doing well. It was a GREAT appointment! Finding out the gender is just bonus.

Re: Crappy appointment yesterday!
More than anything else- I hate to be rushed- especially with how important these appointments are.
I am glad you called and complained- I hope they call back and find a good time to bring you back to complete the scan.

That's my issue...that she rushed us. We've had 3 other sonograms including 2 NT scans and were never ever rushed like this. They always pointed things out to us, told us the heartrate, got some good pics...This chick? NOTHING. I didn't even know she had tried looking for the gender until she said "Legs are crossed! Come back in 4 weeks" and stood up and left.
I think its an obvious given that I am happy my baby is healthy. I just don't like being tossed out of the room after 10 minutes. She knew this is our first baby and we were so excited to see him/her since the NT is more nervewracking.

Re: Crappy appointment yesterday!
that sucks being rushed out when the sonos are few and far between.
Hope you get another appt and he/she cooperates!
I had one appointment like that - she rushed us so much we didnt get one good picture. We walked out of there like ew, we waited all this time for the appt and we didnt even get to really see her!
They really need to be more sensitive when it comes to these appointments.

Re: Crappy appointment yesterday!
I totally get it, I recently had my 20 week and it was upsetting because it wasn't even the gender reveal, which she skated over like it was mentioning the time of day, it was the idea that the whole thing was rushed and any time we asked a question we got the DUH the sky is BLUE type of answer like HOW don't you IDIOTS know this already? Umm, because it is our first child and it wasn't like we were asking "does he have LEGS" we were asking questions about his lungs and organs, bones, etc. IDK, it's interesting to us. Also, about his size - how he is progressing, I just wanted to make sure he was on track. I looked forward to that appointment for weeks and DH took off work to come - everyone on here told me how involved it is, we had MIL and my mom come too, and she was very short. All of us left feeling really disappointed. She sucked all of the fun out of it, it's supposed to be a joy-filled time. Oy.
I'm sorry that you had that happen as well, and I think you did the right thing by saying something. I keep telling myself that I should inform the doctor and/or office manager about this sono tech. She is short, says unprofessional things, and overall it's never a nice experience. I go in there now on pins and needles. Ugh!
