Would you use a name if...
It was a childs name that you used to nanny for? DH and I are having such a hard time with a boys name. We finally made a bet on weight at birth and who ever is closer picks name. But now DH realizes that my name if I win would mean the baby would have the same exact initials as my step son. So we actually both like the name Kyle but I nannied for a family with 2 children for 6 years one of which was named kyle. They moved to Georgia but I still remain in contact with them.

absolutely would! I would only not use a name if it was a close family member or friend that we saw often
and even then people still do that- our ds is Braydon and then 9 months later SIL gave birth to Jayden

I would. If I ruled out every name because it was someone I knew then there'd be no names left lol.
Right now DH and I are currently considering the name of someone I went to Elementary school with and someone who I work/worked with at my 2nd job. It's nothing personal with them, we just both like the name.
Unless there's some SEVERE negative association with that name then I would still consider it.

Exactly! I will never understand getting upset when people use the same name(s) I choose or why people get weird if I choose the same name as others. My child, if I love the name I am using it, so I say go for it.
I come from a big Greek family, everyone has the same names.

I would! As someone who works with kids a lot the names I like are bc I loved a student with the name so I have a positive association with the name!

Thanks all! I guess it was because we were so close. He was my "little man" for 6 years. Great kid so only great thoughts to go with it.
