anyone have this PB Item ? or anything like it ?
I'm thinking it might work to help control everyone's stuff when we walk in the door.
Kids can have a cubby to put stuff in.
I'm a Pottery Barn virgin 
If it's on sale does that mean they are discontinuing it ?

I have it and love it. I have baskets in each of the cubby holes. I doubt they would discontinue it, I bought mine on sale last year.

I have something similar. The bottom portion is a shoe holder. Got it at ikea about 8 yrs ago. Loved it. It worked well in our small house when we had it.
