so i have been reading several posts about a Chemical Preg and a MC

what exactly is the diff?

Unfortunately we just went thru a MC at week 6 and had a D & C yesterday.
I do see that our symptoms were not the same, as i stained not a Heavy Bleed, we did have a yolk and a pole, BUT within a week the baby never grew

what is a chemical Preg in comparision?

thanks girls, just trying to learn as much as possible

Re: whats the difference??

A chemical pregnancy is a miscarriage that takes place during the earliest stages of a pregnancy. With a chemical pregnancy, hCG is produced, but only for a short period of time.

A chemical pregnancy would be a miscarriage before the fifth week of gestation.

This. but also, symptoms of a miscarriage will always vary no matter when you have one. You could have very heavy bleeding or NONE whatsoever (a missed miscarriage). The first trimester is such a paranoid, scary time... especially after a loss!!

This. I think a chemical is a pregnancy that is lost before anything is seen on a sono which makes sense before 5 weeks usually you can't see a sac.

Either way it sucksChat Icon
