Who did you get a mortgage with?
I have tried calling the person I used when we bought out condo and have not gotten a response. Can you recommend who you used for your mortgage, if you had a good experience?

I'm in love with my mortgage person - he's the best, most reliable, easily explains everything, VERY efficient and fast. Plus, we got an AMAZING rate and he structured the loan just right to benefit us and he explains, in plain english, why.
I just can't say enough about how great he is - this is our second time using him (we are in contract now) and everyday I say to DH, this is why we went back to Dan! I am constantly saying how happy I am that we have him. I think I go on and on because when we bought our first home we originally worked with someone else who was AWFUL. They would lose our paperwork constantly, they would drag their feet, wouldn't get back to us, etc. The underwriter was in another state - it was a MESS. We switched to Dan and that is when we bought our first home, and once we switched, it was like MAGIC. His underwriter works out of the same office building. He responds within MINUTES. He has never lost a document. So, I think because I know how bad it can be on the other end - I think that is why I'm so in love with him!

Who did you get a mortgage with?
We used a broker - Compass Home Mortgage. We dealt with them primarily via email and phone. They were very easy to deal with. Our mortgage ended up being with Cole Taylor but it was sold to Wells Fargo before our first payment was due.
