City Workers - Prescription Plan
Hi all, I'm trying to figure out what's the difference between Express Scripts and the PICA program...
How does it work when you sign up for the city's prescription plan from the many below?
city health plan rates
Do they all offer the Express Script plan with PICA covering injectibles? Or are these two different prescription plans?
The city's prescription plan is 90-100 per paycheck, so pricey, so I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing to get the injectibles covered.
TIA!

I work for the city and the injectables are covered under the PICA plan for infertility drugs. I do not have a prescription plan but I am covered and all I pay is a co-pay. I get my injectables from freedom fertility. Express scripts is used for all other prescriptions. You get 3 lifetime prescriptions for fertility drugs under the PICA program.

Re: City Workers - Prescription Plan
Thanks! That's really such a relief to know that you don't have to participate in the Express Scripts plan to qualify for the injectibles from PICA.
