VBAC moms and first time moms not planning on having a c/s
I'm trying to have a vbac this time, I have a great practice that I know has the most # of successful vbacs in the area...
Anyways, I went to see a PT today, I don't really have any PT issues, my lower back bothered me a little bit but that's all.
Several friends recommended seeing this particular one because she specializes in pregnancy issues and it was SO helpful to go! I learned exercises to help me be more flexible and strong for labor/birth.
A friend recently who had a baby said having gone to her was so helpful because she felt strong and felt like the muscles she needed to use were strong enough to make her labor easier (shorter time). The PT said just 2 weeks of doing these exercises should make a HUGE difference in how I feel and strengthening myself for labor.
Anyways, even though I'm upstate and therefore can't recommend this PT, I just wanted to say if you can find a pregnancy class or PT or anyone who can talk about how you can PHYSICALLY prepare for labor, I think it's totally worth it! Just wanted to share!
