What tests should the doctors do?
The wife and I have been TTC for over a year now, and we have both gone to doctors for tests.
Could someone let me know what tests the doctors should have done.
This is what we have had done: guy: semen analysis girl: Day 2/3 Blood Test for ovarian reserves HYSTEROSALPINGOGRAPHY
Did we miss any tests?
I assume, there are no other tests for men.
I ASSUME the doctor tested for PCOS on the first visit. I asked my wife for a list of tests, and she didn't list ultrasound...but I ASSUME thats the first test that the doctor would do before going into the more advanced test (HYSTEROSALPINGOGRAPHY)
Any other tests we need to ask the doctor to do?
Thank you

Re: What tests should the doctors do?
I assume (sorry for all the assumptions, but my wife didn't ask the doctor any questions)
I assume, these results were from the day 2/3 blood test also: Lutropin LH, serum: 2.27 Follicutropin FSH. serum: 7.88 Estradiol: 27
not sure what that means, but the doctor never said there were any problems.

Women with PCOS usually havd a LH/FSH ratio of 2 to 1 or 3 to 1. That is also confirmed if they do an ultrasound and can see the ring of pearls on the ovaries.
It seems like your wife did the basic tests that most RE's would routinely run around CD3. You could also ask for AMH test which gives an estimate of her ovarian reserve.
I also assume that she did genetic testing as well.
Is she under the care of an RE?

Hysteroscopy is another test that can be done, if youre not already with an RE you should definitely start seeing one asap.

Re: What tests should the doctors do?
My diagnosis was found when I went in for bloodwork on day 22 to confirm ovulation. Apparently I have an adrenal issue that is only seen when my progesterone is high (in LH phase)
