Pushing to Blast
So what do you guys know about an embryo needing to get to the hatching blast stage on day 6 to have a chance of making a baby?
Long story short, I am pushing to blast to biopsy for genetic testing. The doc I consulted with said that they only biopsy hatching blasts on day 6 because even if they're normal, they won't become babies if they don't start hatching (but by day 6? Don't some wait until like day 10 to implant?)
Anyway, the one time I pushed to blast, my best embryos were "early blasts" on day 5. I've just heard stories about women getting pregnant off a day 5 morula and whatnot, so I thought I'd put my feelers out there.

Re: Pushing to Blast
My doctor did the biopsy on day 3 and then pushed to blast. I wasn't sure if I would make it to blast with my egg quality but I was pleasantly surprised. I had a few hatching blasts frozen on day 6. Hang in there!
