With the nice weather I really want to get a pedi! Ive heard that the nail polish can be harmful ti the baby? Am I just bein over paranoid! I really need one!

I've been getting mani/pedis way before my bfp and I still get them. So far so good

I get my nails done every 2 weeks and am carrying a healthy baby boy. I've gotten numerous pedis as well. I try to make my appointments early in the day (I'm unemployed but maybe you can do a Saturday) so that I'm not walking into a day full of fumes.

I got plenty of manicures and pedicures throughout my pregnancy with DS, including the actual day I went into the hospital to be induced, and he is thriving healthy boy. I plan to go this weekend as well because my feet just look terrible right now.
I've never heard of nail polish being harmful however there are eco-friendly polishes if you're uncomfortable.

What about the massage part? I've read that if the area between your ankle bone and heel receives pressure in a certain way it can put you into early labor.

Yes just don't have them massage your calves, esp in the 3rd trimester, you don't want to go into early labor from the stimulation. Otherwise go enjoy :)

I was actually sitting for a mani/pedi yesterday before finding out I'm potentially in preterm labor  However, I am SURE that's not what contributed to it .. I've gotten countless manis and pedis before. and they weren't giving me any deep massages or whatever ..I'm sure it's purely coincidence- but as for the polish itself, it's not a problem as long as the place is well ventilated  Enjoy!

Pedi's are fine but I would get a "kit" so you aren't using the nail file and tools that they use on other people, and make sure you are going to a clean place. The nail polish should be fine as long as you aren't eating or inhaling it!
